Events & buyouts

The whole restaurant, for one evening.

We do not keep a private room, and we would rather not pretend otherwise. What we offer instead is the entire place: counter, dining room and lounge, doors closed, one guest list. For a night your party has the chef, the room and the whole of our attention.

The buyout

Everything, and nobody else.

貸切 — Full buyout

A launch, a wedding dinner, a company's best night of the year.

Seated, the counter and the dining room take your party through the omakase together, course for course, at one pace. Standing, we clear the floor for a smaller reception and serve nigiri, skewers and sake straight from the counter. Either way the menu is written for your evening, the door stays shut, and the only reservation in the book is yours.

How it works

Four conversations, then dinner.

We keep the planning short and the detail high. Ask at least four weeks ahead; once the date is held, most evenings are settled inside a week.

  1. Tell us the occasion

Date, headcount, seated or standing, and anything the room needs to know — allergies, abstentions, a guest who does not eat raw fish, a toast that needs a pause in service.

  2. We write the menu

The chef drafts a sequence against what is landing that week. You see it in full, with sake or tea pairings costed separately, before anything is confirmed.

  3. Confirm and deposit

A deposit of 50% holds the date. Final headcount is due seventy-two hours ahead; we can flex by two either way after that without penalty.

  4. The evening itself

One host looks after your party from the door onward, and the rest of the restaurant is already yours. Everything else you can forget about.

Practicalities

Questions we are asked most.

Can we bring our own wine or sake?

Yes. Corkage is $60 per 750ml bottle, waived on one bottle for every six guests. We ask for a list in advance so glassware and service temperature are ready.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Almost all of them, given notice. Shellfish, gluten and pregnancy menus are routine. A fully vegetarian omakase is available and genuinely good — it runs on aged tofu, seasonal vegetables and kombu-cured stone fruit rather than substitutions.

What is the cancellation policy?

Deposits are refundable up to fourteen days before the date, then transferable to another evening within six months. Inside seventy-two hours the full minimum applies.

Do you have a private room for a smaller group?

No — the restaurant is one room and we do not partition it. Smaller parties are very welcome at the counter or in the dining room as an ordinary booking; for a table of six or more, write to [email protected] and we will arrange it around the seatings.
